These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of the Scoreboards bot ("the Bot") and the website at scoreboards.dev ("the Website"). By accessing or using the Bot or the Website, you agree to be bound by these Terms.
You agree to use the Bot and the Website only for lawful purposes and in compliance with these Terms, Discord's Terms of Service, and all applicable laws and regulations.
You must meet Discord's minimum age requirement (13 years or older, or the minimum age required in your country) to use our services.
You retain ownership of the content you create through the Bot, including leaderboard names, scores, player data, and images you upload. By using the service, you grant us a non-exclusive license to store, display, process (including resizing and format conversion), and distribute this content as necessary to operate the Bot and Website.
You represent that you have the right to upload any content you submit, including images and submission descriptions. You understand that images submitted to Rating leaderboards, together with any description, are publicly viewable on the Website, and that the admins of a leaderboard can review a log of the star ratings cast on it — including yours — to moderate their events.
Leaderboards you create using the Bot are publicly visible by default on the Website through a unique URL. This means the content of your leaderboard (including Discord usernames, team names, and scores) can be viewed by anyone. You may make a leaderboard private at any time by adjusting its settings in Discord. By using the Bot, you acknowledge and agree that your leaderboard data will be publicly accessible by default unless you opt out.
Public leaderboards that belong to a registered account and have at least five entries may additionally be indexed by search engines, and any shared leaderboard link generates a preview card showing the leaderboard's name, its number of competitors, and the leading name. Setting a leaderboard to private removes it from both. See our Privacy Policy for details.
Public leaderboards may also be embedded on other websites. You may embed any leaderboard you administer, and anyone may embed a leaderboard that is public — the same data its own page already shows. The embedded view carries an attribution link back to Scoreboards, and you agree not to remove, obscure, or alter it unless your plan includes doing so. We may decline to serve an embed to a site that breaches these Terms.
You agree not to:
You must not upload or submit:
We reserve the right to remove any uploaded content and terminate accounts at our sole discretion, without prior notice. We do not pre-screen uploaded images. If you encounter content that violates these terms, please report it via our Discord support server.
If you believe your copyrighted work has been uploaded without your permission, please contact us via our Discord support server with the following information:
We will remove infringing content promptly upon receiving valid notices. Repeat infringers may have their accounts terminated.
Third-party games. Leaderboards can track third-party games, and game names are used only to identify what a leaderboard is about. League of Legends match data is retrieved from the Riot Games API. Scoreboards is not endorsed by Riot Games and does not reflect the views or opinions of Riot Games or anyone officially involved in producing or managing Riot Games properties. Riot Games and League of Legends are trademarks or registered trademarks of Riot Games, Inc.
We reserve the right to modify, suspend, or discontinue the Bot or Website, temporarily or permanently, with or without notice. You agree that we will not be liable to you or any third party for any modification, suspension, or discontinuance of the service.
We strive to keep the Bot and Website available, but we do not guarantee uninterrupted or error-free operation. The service is provided on an "as is" and "as available" basis.
We may terminate or suspend your access to the service immediately, without prior notice, for any reason, including if you breach these Terms. Upon termination, your right to use the service ceases immediately.
To the maximum extent permitted by law, we shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, including without limitation loss of profits, data, use, goodwill, or other intangible losses, resulting from your use of or inability to use the service.
If you have questions about these Terms, please contact us through our Discord support server.
We reserve the right to modify these Terms at any time. By continuing to access or use the service after revisions become effective, you agree to be bound by the updated Terms. We will update the "Last updated" date at the top of this page when changes are made.
A server may switch on a currency system, in which finalized matches and scores pay out a virtual currency that members spend on rewards the server offers, such as Discord roles. That currency is a feature of the service, not money and not property. It has no real-world value, is not a payment instrument, is not backed by anything, and cannot be exchanged for cash or for anything else of value. It cannot be bought from us, sold, or redeemed, and purchases made with it are final — there is no refund, and nothing bought can be sold back or exchanged.
Currency belongs to the server that issued it. A balance is meaningful only inside that server, never travels to another server, and may not be transferred, sold, or traded to anyone outside it, whether or not money changes hands. Where a server enables a transfer or gifting feature that we provide for use between its own members, using that feature as intended is permitted; nothing beyond it is.
Balances are not guaranteed and are not a debt we owe you. A server's administrators may grant, adjust, reset, or remove any balance in their server at any time and for any reason, and we may do the same where we consider it necessary — to correct a fault, to reverse an exploit, or to enforce these Terms. If a recorded result is cancelled or edited, the payout it produced is reversed, and a balance may go below zero as a result until it is earned back.
If the Bot is removed from a server, if the server switches its economy off or is itself deleted, or if we discontinue the feature, balances in that server cease to exist and are worth nothing. If your access is suspended or terminated under section 10, any balance you hold is forfeited. In no case do we owe you compensation, a refund, or a replacement for currency, for rewards bought with it, or for a lost balance.
