These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of the Scoreboards bot ("the Bot") and the website at scoreboards.dev ("the Website"). By accessing or using the Bot or the Website, you agree to be bound by these Terms.

1. Use of the Service

You agree to use the Bot and the Website only for lawful purposes and in compliance with these Terms, Discord's Terms of Service, and all applicable laws and regulations.

2. Age Requirements

You must meet Discord's minimum age requirement (13 years or older, or the minimum age required in your country) to use our services.

3. User Content and Data

You retain ownership of the content you create through the Bot, including leaderboard names, scores, player data, and images you upload. By using the service, you grant us a non-exclusive license to store, display, process (including resizing and format conversion), and distribute this content as necessary to operate the Bot and Website.

You represent that you have the right to upload any content you submit, including images. You understand that images submitted to Rating leaderboards are publicly viewable on the Website.

4. Public Leaderboards

Leaderboards you create using the Bot are publicly visible by default on the Website through a unique URL. This means the content of your leaderboard (including Discord usernames, team names, and scores) can be viewed by anyone. You may make a leaderboard private at any time by adjusting its settings in Discord. By using the Bot, you acknowledge and agree that your leaderboard data will be publicly accessible by default unless you opt out.

5. Restrictions

You agree not to:

• Use the service for any unlawful or unauthorized purpose
• Upload content that violates the Prohibited Content policy described below
• Use the rating system to harass, brigade, or systematically target other users
• Exploit, distribute, or publicly inform other users of any error, bug, or vulnerability that gives an unintended advantage
• Attempt to interfere with or disrupt the service or its infrastructure
• Use automated means to access the service in a way that exceeds reasonable use

6. Prohibited Content

You must not upload or submit:

• Child sexual abuse material (CSAM) or any sexual content involving minors — we maintain a zero-tolerance policy and will report such content to NCMEC and law enforcement immediately, and permanently ban the offending account
• Content that is illegal in your jurisdiction
• Content that infringes on others' copyrights, trademarks, or intellectual property rights
• Content designed to harass, threaten, or intimidate specific individuals
• Malware, exploits, or files disguised as images

We reserve the right to remove any uploaded content and terminate accounts at our sole discretion, without prior notice. We do not pre-screen uploaded images. If you encounter content that violates these terms, please report it via our Discord support server.

7. Copyright and Takedowns

If you believe your copyrighted work has been uploaded without your permission, please contact us via our Discord support server with the following information:

• Identification of the copyrighted work
• Identification of the infringing content (leaderboard URL and submission)
• Your contact information
• A statement that you have a good faith belief the use is unauthorized

We will remove infringing content promptly upon receiving valid notices. Repeat infringers may have their accounts terminated.

8. Modifications to the Service

We reserve the right to modify, suspend, or discontinue the Bot or Website, temporarily or permanently, with or without notice. You agree that we will not be liable to you or any third party for any modification, suspension, or discontinuance of the service.

9. Service Availability

We strive to keep the Bot and Website available, but we do not guarantee uninterrupted or error-free operation. The service is provided on an "as is" and "as available" basis.

10. Termination

We may terminate or suspend your access to the service immediately, without prior notice, for any reason, including if you breach these Terms. Upon termination, your right to use the service ceases immediately.

11. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, we shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, including without limitation loss of profits, data, use, goodwill, or other intangible losses, resulting from your use of or inability to use the service.
